About The Feature Film

Through the film, we want to discuss some of the harmful rhetoric that exists around figures like Andrew Tate and Ben Shapiro and how that can affect the lives and health of young men consuming their content. Especially now, young boys are incredibly vulnerable to this rhetoric as it is unloaded across social media networks such as Tik Tok and Instagram. We wanted to explore this vulnerability, the misogyny that exists in the social media sphere and how it can affect not only young men’s lives but also the lives of those they interact with.

Through a classic detective noir story, the film explores themes of delusion, loneliness, and the thought complexes that often arise inside and outside of the college sphere. When Devlin, a depressed and lonely man, largely a product of his own bad decisions, witnesses what he believes to be the murder of the woman he fell in love with, he decides to pour all his energy into finding her, only to discover that his savior complex and actions have made the situation worse than anyone could have imagined.
